At 14 years old, Sophy Su left everything she knew — her home in Nanjing, China, her family, her comfort — and moved to Canada alone. Not because it was easy. Because she refused to let geography be the ceiling on her ambition.

She started in sales as an intern, underqualified on paper and relentless in practice. When a hiring manager told her to call back at an exact time — a test most would forget — Sophy called at the exact minute. That was her first lesson in closing.

"That showed me she had grit," said the hiring manager who took a chance on an underqualified intern.

From smashing regional sales records to building and leading teams, Sophy turned every obstacle — cultural barriers, language gaps, being underestimated — into fuel. She founded Sophisticated Sophy Consulting to bring that same precision to entrepreneurs ready to scale.
